Historic Signatures Signed in Ankara: Salihli OIZ's Wastewater Treatment Plant's Capacity Increases
The signatures for the capacity increase project of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, one of the important environmental investments of Salihli Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ), were signed in Ankara. This project, which was included in the investment program within the scope of the World Bank-funded OIZ Lending Project, was undertaken by Doğan Metalurji Makine ve İnşaat Taahhüt Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. for 8,027,105 Euros as a result of the tender held at the Ministry of Industry and Technology in July 2024. The contract for the project was formalized with a ceremony held in Ankara.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by Caner Koçoğlu, Deputy Director General for Industrial Zones of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Muhittin Bilget, Chairman of the Board of Salihli OIZ, Çağrı Duygu, OIZ Manager, Emrah Dal, Project Coordinator Environmental Engineer and Ziya Doğan, Doğan Metalurji representative.
The project will be implemented in line with the OIZ Implementation Regulation and the procedures and principles regarding Organized Industrial Zones and Industrial Sites. The investment, which is financed by a 13-year loan period with a grace period of 3 years with an annual interest rate of %3 TL, will be completed within 12 months. During this period, the daily capacity of the Wastewater Treatment Plant will be increased from the current 8,000 m³ to 16,000 m³.
Salihli OIZ Chairman Muhittin Bilget stated that this investment is one of the biggest projects of the OIZ and said: "In our region, which continues to work in line with the principles of environmentally friendly and Green OIZ in every sense, investments will continue without slowing down. This project will make significant contributions to our industrialists. I congratulate everyone who contributed to the approval of the project and wish it to be beneficial to our region and all our industrialists."
This giant project stands out as a major step forward in line with Salihli OIZ's sustainable and environmentally friendly production goals.
